A very attractive early plate made in c1837 features a rare design taken directly from a picture of the young Queen at the opera, after the paintin g by E.T.Parris.

The border has a relief floral design . The plate is 120mm in diameter,it has a clear crisp portrait of the young Queen, it is in good condition with only a minor rim chip at the 1 o'clock position as shown in the third picture and the usual iron staining that this early pottery was prone to.

The plate is illustrated and described on page 25,plate 36 in the authorative book 'Victoria Remembered' by John May.
