One of the rarest categories of royal commemoratives are items that are personal gifts from The Queen. The present British royal family have carried on the tradition of giving gifts to senior members of the royal household staff at Christmas and on other significant royal occasions, a tradition that was started by King George V and Queen Mary.

A rare opportunity to acquire a wonderful royal item that would enhance any royal memorabilia collection.

The champagne flutes were presented by Queen Elizabeth II to a senior member of the royal household staff at Christmas 2007. The champagne flutes were made exclusively for The Queen and like all royal gifts the design and quality is exceptional.

This royal gift is a pair of champagne flutes and a tray, the tray has the cypher of H.M.Elizabeth II engraved onto it, it is 235 x 174mm in size. The champagne flutes are unique Christmas gifts as one has the royal cypher of Queen Elizabeth II set into the Garter belt surmounted by The Imperial State Crown, whilst the other has the royal cypher of H.R.H. Prince Philip, the first time we have seen Prince Philip's cypher on a gift.

The champagne flutes are 225mm tall. The set comes in a fitted royal blue case with the Royal Cypher in silver and the date 'Christmas 2007'. The flutes are in excellent unused condition and are complete with the original silk lined, fitted, royal blue presentation box, on the lid of which is the embossed royal cypher of Queen Elizabeth II and the year the present was given, it is also complete with the gift card that came with it.

Silver and glass, which reflect light, are extremely difficult to photograph, so our apologies for the quality of the photographs.
