This Telescopic Viewer shows the 1953 Coronation Procession of Elizabeth II. It was made exclusively for Harrod's.It is in pristine condition and still in the original unsealed box..

Telescopic Viewers were first introduced in Victoria's reign, for the Great Exhibition of 1851.Some of these are still in existence and are now very valuable and sought after by collectors.

The procession is viewed through the circular aperture in the front, through which the top picture has been taken, this gives a very realistic 3D view of the entire Coronation procession proceeding down The Mall towards Buckingham Palace, unfortunately the camera blurs the close up part of the view.

These Telescopic Views were produced for the Queen's Jubilee with proceeds going to the Queen's Silver Jubilee Appeal. When opened out they are about 2 feet in length. This example is in pristine condition and is still sealed in its original sealed box. These viewers are very rare and extremely collectable.
