Thousands of commemoratives were sold for this momentous royal occasion,but as this was one of the most expensive,few of these were sold,making it a rare piece.

An unmistakable product from Paragon,who always achieve a superb standard of design and quality of decoration.The Lion handles and the sheer quality of this piece make this exceptional item stand out from the mass of poor quality commemoratives made for this occasion.The loving cup was produced in 1981 to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

The front of the cup has the couples initials within the Garter Belt set amidst sprays of the British national flowers. on the ribbon beneath is the inscription - "The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer".Encircling the rim is the dedication,"Married in St Paul's Cathedral - July 1981".

The back of the cup has the Royal Coat of Arms again set into the Garter Belt surmounted by The Imperial State Crown and set into sprays of the British floral emblems.

The rim,base and the elaborate lion handles are lavishly decorated with gilt.The cup is 3 1/4" - 80mm tall and 5 1/2" - 135mm across the handles .It is in pristine condition,without any chips,cracks or crazing.

Paragon hold the "Royal Warrant" entitling them to display the Royal Coat-of-Arms on this special cup.This and the Paragon backstamp are imprinted on the base.

A beautiful commemorative that will make a superb centerpiece for any collection.
